About ghrp 6
The peptide GHRP-6 is an effective stimulator of the natural growth hormone release from the pituitary gland, which offers a range of valuable effects in the body. In addition to the stimulation of the formation and secretion of human growth hormone, it also stimulates appetite, promotes burning of unnecessary fat and enhances stamina and strength.
As a peptide with relatively low molecular weight, it is effective in the body when taken orally and has minimal side effects. Its anabolic effects make it a promising candidate for the treatment of muscle wasting and a number of other diseases associated with a decrease in muscle mass. It has been shown that GHRP-6 stimulates the synthesis of myogenic proteins in cultured cells and stimulates IGF-1 production. It also reduces oxidative stress in muscle tissue, protects neurons and other tissues in the central nervous system from the consequences of poor blood supply and inhibits apoptosis.
A seminal study has shown that chronic administration of GHRP-6 significantly reduces mortality in a mouse model of ischemic heart disease. It was found that GHRP-6 protects cardiac muscle by increasing the compensatory capacity of nonischemic myocardial regions and preventing myocardial infarction (AMI) damage. It also prevents the induction of fibrosis and hypertrophic scarring. This is achieved by regulating the expression of genes such as TGF-b1 and CTGF, which cause excessive collagen and fibrosis. The peptide also reduces the expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines such as TNF-a and IFN-
